Several Nights of Fun
Three nights of special dinners and receptions are planned during the event.
On Wednesday night a welcome reception will be hosted at the resort, which offers magnificent ocean views.
Thursday evening guests are welcome to the EJOPA Rocking & Riding Motorcycles Theme Party. Amelia Island is just 90 miles north of the world famous Daytona Beach. Daytona Beach is well known for its beaches, but is also well known to hundreds of thousands of bikers as the home to Daytona Bike week in the Spring and Biketoberfest in the Fall. In observance of these and a lot of other biker events that go on during the year in Florida, EJOPA will be holding a “Rocking & Riding Motorcycles” theme party at the Ritz-Carlton on Thursday night. This will be the first Theme Party by EJOPA and will certainly be one of the social highlights of this year’s convention. Please remember to bring your “Rocking and Riding Motorcycles” clothing as this is a dress-for- the- event. Or just come as you are and enjoy a fun-filled evening. Great prizes for the most authentic outfits!
Friday night dinner features our popular live auction and gives everyone a chance to socialize.
Saturday night dinner is on your own. The hotel has multiple restaurants, or you can explore the spectacular local cuisine in Fernandina Beach.
Companions and Companions Training
If you plan on bringing a non-flying companion, Amelia Island and Jacksonville offers your companion many areas to explore at their leisure. EJOPA will be offering an get-acquainted luncheon on Thursday.
We will also be offering the Eclipse Companion Training ground school and in-aircraft training in your plane. Having two people onboard who can fly, operate, and land the plane is a big bonus for safety. Norton Aviation will again be offering a companion training classroom session customized to the Eclipse. The focus will be the cockpit in general and the autopilot specifically.
In addition to the ground school, they will be offering a 1.5 hour flying session practicing pattern flying and emergency landings in your plane. These activities are designed to enable companions to be more comfortable in the flying environment. Don’t hesitate, sign up while registering!

Resort - The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island
Rich in history and natural beauty, northeast Florida’s Amelia Island invites you to reconnect with the things that matter most and create moments that stay with you for life. With 13 miles of pristine beaches, abundant wildlife and clear, calm waters, Amelia Island and its quaint charm has been a beloved destination for generations. Come experience why Amelia Island has consistently been one of Florida’s highest ranked island destinations.
Named for Princess Amelia, daughter of George II of Great Britain, Amelia Island is rich in history and tradition. The island has frequently changed possession. During its long history it has been under eight different flags – French, Spanish, British, Patriot, Green Cross, Mexican, Confederate, and United States – the only location in the United States to have done so.
Discover The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, and experience a place where magnificent live oaks and Southern charm meet Florida’s warm ocean waves and white sand beaches. One of only a handful of resorts in Florida with both a beach and golf course, the resort rests on Amelia Island, the southernmost in a chain of barrier islands.
The wild beauty of sand dunes, palms, and native oaks combines with inspiration from the nearby community of Fernandina Beach, where national landmark status preserves an atmosphere of carefree Victorian charm. The eight-story, U-shaped hotel crowns 13 acres of courtyards, gardens and dunes. One of the most popular beach destinations on the East Coast, this luxurious barrier island hotel provides a welcome buffer between you and the world beyond.
The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, also features tennis, horseback riding, fine dining, and a world-class spa.

Airport - Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (KFHB)
This year’s airport choice for the annual convention is Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (KFHB). The airport is located on Amelia Island approximately three miles south of the downtown historic district and less than 2 miles from our hotel, the Ritz-Carlton. Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport is also very convenient to the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), located approximately 25 miles to the south.
The FBO is McGill Aviation. EJOPA has negotiated that there will be no airport fees (with fuel purchase) for this year’s Convention, and a fuel discount will be available for all EJOPA members.
EJOPA will be providing transportation from McGill Aviation to the Ritz-Carlton on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 30th & 31st from 11:00am to 7:00pm. If you arrive at any other times, you are responsible for your own transportation.
On Sunday, June 4th, EJOPA will again be providing transportation from the Ritz-Carlton to McGill Aviation from 6:30am to 12:00pm. Again, if you are departing at any other times than those above, you will be responsible for your own transportation. Rental cars are available at McGill Aviation. Please contact them for pricing at 904-261-7890.

Do I have to be a member to register?
You must be an EJOPA member to register. Click here to join before registering.
What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers all food and non-alcoholic beverages from Wednesday night through Sunday morning. It also includes transportation to/from the airport and hotel, seminars, etc. You should not have any extra expenses except your room, tours and shopping.
Do I have to pay for my spouse or guests?
Yes - but we have a new lower rate for family members. The majority of the money spent on the EJOPA Convention is for food, therefore everyone must pay the registration fee.
Do I have to pay the full convention fee if only attending a portion of the convention?
It would be too difficult to come up with fees for just part of the convention. In addition, the sponsors pay a large portion of the total cost of the convention, which makes it even more difficult to come up with partial fees.
What if I have to cancel after registering?
If you cancel up to May 15th, you will receive a 100% refund. After May 15th, there are no refunds.
Do I need to rent a car for the convention?
Transportation is provided to/from the airport and hotel. If you are doing any activities on your own you may wish to rent a car through the FBO directly.

You should arrive at the convention no later than Wednesday afternoon if you wish to make all the regular seminars, etc. The best time to depart is on Sunday between 6:30AM-12:00PM.
What is the dress code for the convention?
The dress code is “country - club casual” for every event.
